Catching Jordan by Miranda KenneallyCatching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally

December 1, 2011 from Sourcebooks Fire
Paperback, 281 pages
ISBN: 9781402262272

What girl doesn’t want to be surrounded by gorgeous jocks day in and day out? Jordan Woods isn’t just surrounded by hot guys, though-she leads them as the captain and quarterback of her high school football team. They all see her as one of the guys and that’s just fine. As long as she gets her athletic scholarship to a powerhouse university.

But everything she’s ever worked for is threatened when Ty Greeen moves to her school. Not only is he an amazing QB, but he’s also amazingly hot. And for the first time, Jordan’s feeling vulnerable. Can she keep her head in the game while her heart’s on the line?

Miranda Kenneally writes her characters with a voice that just really clicks with me from the start. I’ve read her upcoming book (Stealing Parker) as well, and it is just as great, if not better, than Catching Jordan. I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone else recommends – sports haven’t been a huge theme in YA lately but I love reading about them!

  1. Hey, it’s my first time with this meme. I saw it over on Bookgoonie’s blog…love that it’s so fun and easy. Plus you’re totally right, it does force me to look through my read pile for stuff I don’t always suggest. Though, this week it showed me a category I am waaaay weak on! I’ve been buzzing around the other recommendations and re-finding a few books I always meant to pick up. Catching Jordan included!
