Book Summary from Goodreads.com:
Jewish girl. Christian camp. Holy moly.
Ellie Taylor loves nothing better than a good argument. So when she gets accepted to the Christian Society Speech and Performing Arts summer camp, she’s sure that if she wins the final tournament, it’ll be her ticket to a scholarship to the best speech school in the country. Unfortunately, the competition at CSSPA is hot-literally. His name is Devon and, whether she likes it or not, being near him makes her sizzle. Luckily she’s confident enough to take on the challenge-until she begins to suspect that the private scholarship’s benefactor has negative feelings toward Jews. Will hiding her true identity and heritage be worth a shot at her dream?
Review:
Love the concept of this book! Though for some reason I thought she was going to a summer sleep-away camp and it’s actually a day camp, but regardless.
All of the characters in OyMG were fun, with Ellie’s grandpa being my favorite. The debate aspect was quite fun as well, especially since many young adult protagonists seem to want to be cheerleaders or football players rather than focusing on something academic like the debate team. Ellie’s personality was relatable, though slightly frustrating, as she figured out what to do and what her religion and relationships meant to her.
OyMG ended up being a little younger of a read than I was expecting. Much of it was quite predictable, which disappointed me a bit, but I was still entertained and interested in Ellie’s story.
Recommended for pre-teens, especially those who may be intimidated by thicker stories (OyMG is a very manageable 250 pages).

I love old people. No really I do! In books they are so sassy and that is awesome.

It looks fun, just by the name of it “OyMG” you can start laughing, the photo over here is too.
But I dunno if I could ever relate to it, a Jewish in Christian camp, that consider hiding her true self?
I can`t say that I`m not interested in it, but I dunno if I`ll relate.
