1. What is your favorite season?
Since I live in Austin, Texas we really only have two seasons: summer, and not summer. October to November is usually the best weather of the year for us, so that’s really my favorite time. I can go outside without almost melting to death.
2. Where do you most want to go on vacation?
I LOVE to go on vacation! Other than reading it’s my absolute most favorite thing to do, but lately, I haven’t been able to get away. So, I’ve been daydreaming about going on a Mediterranean cruise. I’d fly into Barcelona for a bit of paella (I always plan my vacations around the food) then board my ship and sail the cerulean waters around Italy and Greece.
3. Tell us about your favorite local restaurant.Well, if you live in Austin and you don’t love Tex-Mex you’re going to be awfully hungry. You can’t go a block in this town without passing an awesome taco joint, but when my family and I want to kick back with some chips and salsa we hit Chuy’s. Chuy’s is a funky local chain that’s a little bit tex-mex, a little bit rock ‘n’ roll. Whenever we travel, we miss it so much that we drive there straight from the airport.
4. How many watches do you own?
My initial thought was “just one, of course” but then I remembered I have three others sitting in my jewelry box sans batteries.
5. Describe your latest shopping trip.
Oh, how I wish I could regale y’all with some extravagant tale of dropping into Saks or Neiman’s over lunch, perusing the Laboutins and picking up “just a little something” that cost more than my first car. But, alas, my latest shopping trip was to my local SuperTarget to pick up toothpaste, shaving cream, and a 24 pack of double-roll, 2-ply toilet paper. Ah, the glamourous life of a writer.
About The International Kissing Club:
Piper, Cassidy, Mei, and Izzy have been best friends their whole lives. And they’ve always agreed on one goal: to get out of tiny Paris, Texas, and see the world. The school’s foreign exchange program seems like the perfect escape: Piper will go to the original Paris; Mei will go to China; Cassidy will go to Australia; and Izzy, unable to afford the program, will stay at home. To add spice to their semester away, and to stay connected to their best friends, the girls start The International Kissing Club, a Facebook page where they can anonymously update one another and brag about all the amazing guys they’re meeting. After all, these girls are traveling abroad: amazing guys abound at every turn! But sometimes fun, flirty vacation flings turn into more serious romances, and sometimes you don’t return from abroad the same person you were. Will the girls’ relationships-and their friendships-be able to survive?

Texas sounds like Florida with the heat. I have to say, this time of year in DC makes those two seasons sound kind of nice.

That is so funny: “Summer, and not Summer.” THE INTERNATIONAL KISSING CLUB looks fun.
