1. If you could watch a marathon of a TV show right now, what show would you choose?
FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS–also known as the best TV show ever to be a TV show.

2. What is your favorite summer treat?
Hawaiian shave ice–coconut, with the sweet cream on top!
3. How many different jackets do you own?
11 (4 of which are leather)
4. Describe a fancy dinner you’ve been to.
On the day I signed my contract for MOONGLASS, my best friend came over to celebrate, and my husband made us a 6 course dinner, complete with wine pairings for each one, a perfectly decadent chocolate dessert, and of course, champagne! I married well. Extremely well.
5. Where is the last place you had cake?
At Scooter’s Jungle, where I brought my daughter to a birthday party for her best friend. It was a Little Mermaid cake. Chocolate. Perfect, no?
About Moonglass:
I read once that water is a symbol for emotions. And for a while now, I’ve thought maybe my mother drowned in both.
Anna’s life is upended when her father accepts a job transfer the summer before her junior year. It’s bad enough that she has to leave her friends and her life behind, but her dad is moving them to the beach where her parents first met and fell in love- a place awash in memories that Anna would just as soon leave under the surface.
While life on the beach is pretty great, with ocean views and one adorable lifeguard in particular, there are also family secrets that were buried along the shore years ago. And the ebb and flow of the ocean’s tide means that nothing- not the sea glass that she collects on the sand and not the truths behind Anna’s mother’s death- stays buried forever.

This book was recommended to me by a good friend. It’s on my TBR list. And then I see that you list Contemporary YA, strong coffee, and dark chocolate as loves, in that order! Now I think we may be kindred spirits and I know I HAVE to read your book. Congrats on MOONGLASS and the upcoming, IN HONOR.
