1. Describe one of your favorite commercials.
I’m in love with that Zooey Deschanel cotton commercial. I have no clue why cotton needs a commercial, but her voice is so unique and her clothes are freakin’ adorable. The whole thing makes me smile. I’m not so sure it makes me want to go buy cotton, but whatever.
2. What movie snack do you prefer?
Black licorice. Weird, I know, but I refuse to apologize.
3. Tell us about your last trip out of your hometown.
I went to the beach with my kids last week. Cape Canaveral is about 40 minutes east, so does that count as leaving town? We spent the day swimming, burying each other in the sand, and hunting for shark teeth. It was such a fun day. I’m holding onto the memories by refusing to vacuum the sand out of my car.
4. How many accessories do you wear on a normal day?
That depends on whether or not my underwear is an accessory. Kidding. Um, shoes, 2 rings, a belt, earrings, sometimes my charm bracelet, a purse (unless I’m using my bra as a purse–kidding again). So is that seven? Give or take some underwear?
5. What is your favorite comfort item?
My family’s blog. When I feel like I’m a million miles from home (Canada), I just have to go to the blog and see all my loved ones, and it’s like I’m right there with them.
More about Virtuosity:
Now is not the time for Carmen to fall in love. And Jeremy is hands-down the wrong guy for her to fall for. He is infuriating, arrogant, and the only person who can stand in the way of Carmen getting the one thing she wants most: to win the prestigious Guarneri competition. Carmen’s whole life is violin, and until she met Jeremy, her whole focus was winning. But what if Jeremy isn’t just hot…what if Jeremy is better?
Carmen knows that kissing Jeremy can’t end well, but she just can’t stay away. Nobody else understands her–and riles her up–like he does. Still, she can’t trust him with her biggest secret: She is so desperate to win she takes anti-anxiety drugs to perform, and what started as an easy fix has become a hungry addiction. Carmen is sick of not feeling anything on stage and even more sick of always doing what she’s told, doing what’s expected.
Sometimes, being on top just means you have a long way to fall….
