1. If you could always sing one song perfectly, what song would you want that to be?
Though I am really, really terribly awful, I love to sing. If I could belt out Respect like Aretha Frankl

The Sweetest Thing by Christina Mandelski

in, I’d be one happy woman.

2. What is your favorite restaurant?
Anyplace that serves homemade key lime pie. It’s my Kryptonite.

3. How many pairs of shoes do you own with no laces?
I’m not a shoe freak by any means, but I do own my fair share of non-athletic footwear. My most recent purchase was a pair of ruby red patent leather pumps. They make me feel like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz — I figure I can get out of any uncomfortable situation if I click them together three times.

4. What website do you visit most often?
Oh boy — I sould mention my favorite writing blogs — but I can’t stay away from Cakewrecks. Best blog out there. The bad cakes they show are horribly funny — but the Sunday Sweets showcase some true masterpieces. I’m also somewhat addicted to Facebook. You know, not a lot … um … just a little. I swear.

5. Describe something creative from a wedding you recently attended.
A few years back we went to a wedding in Michigan but the couple lived in Chicago. At midnight, when we were all about ready to drop from dancing — the hotel staff rolls out this Chicago hot dog bar with tons of topping and the softest poppy seed buns in the entire universe. Seriously. That goes down as the best reception treat ever. That dog totally hit the spot!

More about The Sweetest Thing:
In the world of Sheridan Wells, life is perfect when she’s decorating a cake. Unfortunately everything else is a complete mess: her mom ran off years ago, her dad is more interested in his restaurant, and the idea of a boyfriend is laughable.

But Sheridan is convinced finding her mom will solve all her problems – only her dad’s about to get a cooking show in New York, which means her dream of a perfect family will be dashed.

Using just the right amount of romance, family drama, and cute boys, The Sweetest Thing will entice fans with its perfect mixture of girl-friendly ingredients.
