1. If your walls had to be painted all one color (besides white), what color would you pick?Between the Sea and Sky by Jaclyn Dolamore
Wow, the real answer to that would probably require decorating books, paint chips, and deep thought, but my gut thought is a very light blue. I guess I find that color soothing. I wish my kitchen was a punchy color like orange or turquoise, though.

2. How many different types of drinks do you have in a day?
Usually just water and herbal tea. Sometimes I mix it up with juice or lemonade. But my weakness is the indescribable amazingness of G.T.’s Kombucha. It’s a type of fermented tea that my former health food store coworkers used to describe as “like apple cider vinegar soda” but I don’t think either does it justice. It gives me this really mellow energy. Zen focus in a bottle. Also delicious.

3. What is your favorite grocery aisle?
Produce! Wow, you are really asking me questions to show off my health nut side. But I get very excited about produce. Gah, I can’t wait for domestic blueberries to come into season, it being early spring as I write this!

4. Tell us about a recent purchase you’re excited about.
I am trying to save my money, but, I did buy a nice stack of books at the Borders going out of business near me (weep!) so I’ve been reading about Rasputin and underground New York, plus I’ve got a nice stack of Nancy Mitford novels.

5. When was the last time you had cotton candy?
I have actually NEVER had cotton candy. @_@ The weird thing is, I had a conversation about cotton candy like two weeks ago. My partner and I were watching Parks and Recreation and they were eating cotton candy on the show and he mentioned how long it had been since he’d had cotton candy and I was like, “I’ve never had it!” Maybe I should go get some.

More about Between the Sea and Sky:
For as long as Esmerine can remember, she has longed to join her older sister, Dosinia, as a siren—the highest calling a mermaid can have. When Dosinia runs away to the mainland, Esmerine is sent to retrieve her. Using magic to transform her tail into legs, she makes her way unsteadily to the capital city. There she comes upon a friend she hasn’t seen since childhood—a dashing young man named Alandare, who belongs to a winged race of people. As Esmerine and Alandare band together to search for Dosinia, they rekindle a friendship . . . and ignite the emotions for a love so great, it cannot be bound by sea, land, or air.
