Book Summary:
Kate Brown’s life has gone downhill fast.
Her father has quit his job to sell vitamins at the mall, and Kate is forced to work with him. Her best friend has become popular, and now she acts like Kate’s invisible.
And then there’s Will. Gorgeous, unattainable Will, whom Kate acts like she can’t stand even though she can’t stop thinking about him. When Will starts acting interested, Kate hates herself for wanting him when she’s sure she’s just his latest conquest.
Kate figures that the only way things will ever stop hurting so much is if she keeps to herself and stops caring about anyone or anything. What she doesn’t realize is that while life may not always be perfect, good things can happen — but only if she lets them….
Review:
Perfect You is another great Elizabeth Scott contemporary.
I love the covers of her books – the pictures and the simple titles. This cover, for whatever reason, doesn’t match the feel I got when I was reading, but that’s okay because I can’t really figure out why I felt that way – maybe because the cover makes it seem as a pure romance and it’s more about Kate’s growth as a person.
The relationship between Kate and her father is what was most memorable for me – the opening lines introduce us to him and his company, and Kate’s life is centered around his business, so we spend a lot of time watching them interact.
A very real contemporary that showcases the changes a person can go through, Perfect You is a shining example of why Elizabeth Scott is a staple in not only the contemporary genre, but in the young adult literature world.

I remember browsing this on amazon and wanting it so bad. It might not be high on my list now, but I plan on buying it sometime in the future. She is a fantastic writer, love her work!
Elizabeth Scott is like Sarah Dessen to me, I know if I need a good contemporary I can read one of her books. It’s such a great feeling to start a new one – I hope you can read Perfect You at some point!

This is my favorite Elizabeth Scott because of its mix of family and romance (I really like Will). Great review!
Yay for favorites! I’m pretty sure my favorite is Stealing Heaven, have you read that one?

I think I’ve read all that Elizabeth Scott has published so far plus I have Between Here and Forever queued to read soon. Stealing Heaven was also really good.
Oooh! I still have 2 left, Bloom and Love You Hate You Miss You! Kind of saving them for a “rainy day” when I want to read a book I know I’ll like

I seriously need to read more Elizabeth Scott books. This one sounds wonderful! I especially like how Kate reacts to Will–very similar to the way I reacted to boys!

I have this book for trade, if someone is interested. Twitter @mfay2,check my Goodreads for wishlist.
