There is no summary for this book available as of today, so I will sum it up for you a bit – we find ourselves in the middle of two groups of girls that used to be friends. A few chapters into the book, one group of girls decides that the others are being too mean, and perform a ‘ritual’ to get them to be nice again – which backfires a bit. The girls must figure out what to do to get both themselves and the other girls back to normal.

Meanicures is a cute little read. And when I say little, I mean short – it was very short. This was the big downfall for me.

The author didn’t give herself enough pages or words to flesh out the characters as much as I enjoy. The idea was kind of fun, but right as I was figuring out which character name went to which girl, the book was basically over.

A cute read, Meanicures may be better suited for a middle grade reader rather than a young adult because of the simple nature of the plot and characters. I didn’t not enjoy it, I just didn’t get the satisfaction at the end that I was hoping for. It would be a read good for those on the younger side of the you adult spectrum, perhaps a reluctant girl reader.

Oh how disappointing. I usually love Catherine Clark's novels. I recommend THE ALISON RULES if you haven't read it! I do love the cover though…
