Book Summary:
SOME NIGHTMARES NEVER END.

For Janie and Cabel, real life is getting tougher than the dreams. They’re just trying to carve out a little (secret) time together, but no such luck.

Disturbing things are happening at Fieldridge High, yet nobody’s talking. When Janie taps into a classmate’s violent nightmares, the case finally breaks open — but nothing goes as planned. Not even close. Janie’s in way over her head, and Cabe’s shocking behavior has grave consequences for them both.

Worse yet, Janie learns the truth about herself and her ability — and it’s bleak. Seriously, brutally bleak. Not only is her fate as a dream catcher sealed, but what’s to come is way darker than she’d feared….

Review:
While Wake (Dream Catcher #1) was spent exploring the dream world and giving us an introduction, Fade (Dream Catcher #2) definitely focused on more action and application of the dream catching.

The basic plot of Fade has Janie and Cabel working to solve a mystery – and because Janie has those weird dream powers, it’s not a normal mystery novel in the least. The investigating and creative thinking of Janie, Cabel, and other characters keep you on the edge of your seat as you try to figure out what is going on and how Janie will be able to help.

Fortunately the book also gives us more information on Janie’s “condition” and what may lay in store for her in the future.

As I was reading Fade, I was actually disappointed that this book was only part of a 3 book series – I definitely would love to read many more books about Janie and Cabel fighting crime in this unique way.

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed this novel! I read it last summer and really enjoyed the premise. I had a little trouble getting into the writing style, though. I can't wait for your thoughts on the third one!
