Final Readathon Post
Don’t worry, I haven’t been sleeping all day
As a Readathon wrap up, I have an overview:
*I finished 2 books (one memoir, one young adult)
*I commented on around 150 blogs to cheer people on
*Both my roommate and my husband read! My husband is a fanatic reader if you catch him in the right mood, so that wasn’t that surprising – but to see my roommate with a book definitely was. Especially when he was reading it again this morning!
*I won the book photo shoot mini-challenge from Ashley – I’m excited to see exactly what kind of things I get!
And the Readathon final meme:
Hours 10-14, my house lock-out fiasco
I really think this depends on the person. Though, if you’re into young adult and haven’t read The Hunger Games/Catching Fire I would say those are a pretty good bet!
A couple of the challenges took too long (I just skipped them). If I couldn’t complete them in 5-10 minutes (or didn’t think I would be able to), I didn’t… so shorter challenges would perhaps be better
Splitting up the cheerleaders by letter seemed to work well for some groups (and not so well for some groups), but I think that’s on the right track
2!
My Fair Lazy by Jen Lancaster and This World We Live In by Susan Beth Pfeffer. I started Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins.
I enjoyed both of the books for different reasons, they are very different (one a memoir and one young adult). Though if I HAD to choose, I would say My Fair Lazy.
See above!
Setting a goal and a time to cheerlead every few hours worked best for me – I would stop reading, get up and go to the computer, and cheerlead until I hit my goal.
I really liked doing some of each – that way when I needed a break from one I could do the other and still be involved! I will be participating if I am able!
That’s it, the last Readathon post for at least 6 months! Hopefully those of you that did not participate did not get too overwhelmed. I think next time I will have one basic post that I update every few hours.
Hope you are all having a great Sunday – I am finishing up Hex Hall
Reviews will be back on track for most of the days this week besides a couple of Fun Five interviews!

How wonderful that you inspired your roommate to read. And you certainly did your part cheering! 150 people were probably very thankful for your motivation, I'm sure.
Great job and congrats on your read-a-thon success.

Cheers
Congrats on your reading- and all that cheerleading! I really appreciate your posts over at my blog & I'm glad you had a good day!
Steve cracks me up! You've got a good man there! Does he have his own Blog? You should talk him into one! Go Steve!
I thought YOU did a great job cheerleading! I loved hearing from you!
I agree, if the challenge took more than 5 min. I skipped it.
Looking forward to a review on Hex Hall.
Also lookin forward to that Blog from Steve.
Hi! I just want to say thanks for cheering for me during the readathon!
Thanks for dropping by my blog, and 149 others too! wow!
I need to start Hex Hall – I really do
Ooh, good for you – two books is much more than what I managed to read.
Thanks for cheering for me on the read-a-thon! Looking forward to many more reviews, read-a-thons and book-related extravaganzas!
Congrats on your Read-a-Thon accomplishments! It's great that your roommate and your husband read, too. My non-reader husband even joined me for a bit.
